Hello there,
Today is a very special day indeed. I’m going to tell the world now, that I have officially been accepted into Southern College of Optometry’s Class of 2017! Congrats self, all your hard work has paid off and I couldn’t be any more proud of you. What an exciting journey it was to get here. I still remember 6 months ago when I started studying as soon as my day began until the night was no longer young. Seven days a week for three short months, all for just a few numbers. And here I am today, taking the last few steps of my road to optometry school. I’m so incredibly grateful for this opportunity, and I want to thank those who has played a role in my decision to become an optometrist and to those who have continuously fueled me with encouragement and support. I couldn’t have made it without you. But the journey is not over yet. Next week I will have my last interview, anticipate good news, and then decide where I will reside for the next four years.
What an accomplishment. At least I can let out a small sigh of relief knowing that my dream of becoming a doctor of optometry is slowly but surely, coming true.
